On Sunday 24 May, the Great West Run is taking place. This involves the closure of Cowley Bridge Road and hence the vehicle entrance to Thomas Hall School.
Those who normally drive to church
You won't be able to park your car on the school premises. Parking is available in the residential area to the north of the school (West Garth Road) and then you'll access the school on foot via the (normally locked) gate.
You won't be able to use Cowley Bridge Road at all, so your route to West Garth Road will need to use Pennsylvania Road and then Wrefords Lane. Please see the this map from the race organisers to plan your route. If you need any extra help, please reach out to Greg.
Those who normally walk to church
We think you’ll be able to walk along Cowley Bridge Road, but the school is accessed via the same gate off West Garth Road as above.
There is a walking route from the university (following the walk that Maggie took some of us on last Easter), but it might be easier to find a lift on this particular Sunday, although please bear in mind that the pick-up point will need to be off the route of the run. Please let Greg know if you need help finding a lift.
